Methodology

Each ElecDatum technical page is built by cross-referencing at least 2-4 independent technical sources (manufacturers, specialized electrical engineering portals, official standards) before publication. When two or more sources agree on a value, that data point is considered reliable. When sources disagree, the value most consistent with additional corroborating references is prioritized.

If no available data proves sufficiently reliable, the page is explicitly marked with [VERIFY] rather than presenting an unconfirmed value as definitive.

All content follows a fixed structure by topic type (reference table, standards guide, equipment page), with units expressed in both metric and imperial for every numerical data point, to serve audiences using NOM/IEC as well as NEC.

Electrical standards (NOM-001-SEDE, NEC) are updated periodically. We review and update ElecDatum content as new editions of relevant standards are published.
